How To MECM (www.howtomecm.com) is a free blog by Saulo Torres with guides and videos about Microsoft Intune, Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Entra ID. Each article is paired with a video from the How To MECM YouTube channel. This policy explains what data the site handles. The data controller is Saulo Torres (How To MECM), contact@howtomecm.com.
Reading the site
You can read every page without an account. The site has no ads, no tracking pixels, no newsletter and no user registration, and it does not set analytics or advertising cookies. If you pick light or dark theme, your browser remembers that choice in local storage.
Like any website, the hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical data to deliver pages and block abuse: your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We use this only to run and protect the site and do not combine it with other data.
To see which pages people read, the site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics. It counts page views and measures load times without cookies or local storage, and it does not identify or follow individual visitors.
Videos are embedded with YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and only load after you click play. Under each article the site shows the video’s public like count and public YouTube comments, which it reads with the YouTube Data API. Showing them does not involve any data about you.
Likes and comments
The site has no sign-in and never asks for access to your Google account. Like and Comment on YouTube open the video on youtube.com in a new tab, where you like or comment with your own YouTube account. YouTube’s terms and Google’s privacy policy apply there, not this one.
The like count and comments shown under each article come from YouTube API Services. By viewing them you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and the Google Privacy Policy applies.
Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Brazil (LGPD), you have the right to be informed, to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing and to data portability, and you can complain to your data protection authority. The legal basis for the technical data above is our legitimate interest in running and securing the site. To exercise any right, email contact@howtomecm.com.
Children
The site is meant for IT professionals and learners and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country).
Links to other websites
Articles link to Microsoft Learn, YouTube and other sites. Their own privacy policies apply there.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new date.
